ABOUT THE AUTHOR… Jacquelyne (Snowden) Jones-Harvey is a proud wife and mother of two and considers them her greatest accomplishment. She is a product of HBCU esteem. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Bishop College, and a Master’s Degree from Howard University.

Being exposed to how people who identified as white was sobering because many of them did not want me as a black person at the school, and those who didn't mind, stood silently by as I endured the violence and lack of respect that comes with racism."
